The upper Beehive Lake is described as one of the more spectacular lakes in the Selkirk Mountains. The 4-mile trail up to the lake gains about 2,000’ of elevation and leads to a beautiful alpine basin. Work will include cutting trees off the trail, removing brush, and repairing tread.

Itinerary: One-day project – The crew leader will specify meeting time & place for the morning and the crew will work until midafternoon.

Hike: 3/5 Moderately Strenuous
Steady elevation gain from the trailhead to the top, several switchback sections. 3 miles and 2000 feet of elevation gain to the lake.  See the linked map for the elevation profile.

Project Work: 3/5 Moderately Strenuous
Repeated digging or sawing. Carrying tools and days packs. Volunteers can pick trail duties based on comfort and ability level and are encouraged to work at their own pace.
