2023 Black Lake Creek-Rapid River- Youth

Volunteer Trail Work Project

Loading Events

Youth volunteers (ages 14-18) will meet near Black Lake Campground in the southern Seven Devils where we will work on the Black Lake Creek Trail down toward the Wild and Scenic Rapid River. We’ll have a base camp at the Lake Fork Trailhead near the creek, where an ITA volunteer cook will prepare dinner for the crew each evening.

With guidance from crew leaders, volunteers will be involved in all aspects of camp life. This includes helping set out breakfast and lunch items, assisting the cook with dinner and dishes, ensuring water and sanitation supplies are available, and ensuring tools are accounted for.

Volunteers are expected to adhere to Leave No Trace best practices and project safety expectations set by crew leaders.
