Join ITA for a two-day project on the Campbell Creek Ridge Trail which climbs up towards Slate Mountain (6,929’) in the Bannock Range. Volunteers, working alongside Forest Service, will be rerouting the trail to ensure sustainable and user-friendly access to the Pocatello Foothills.  

Trail: Campbell Creek Ridge #020 

Itinerary: Meet at the Campbell Ridge Trailhead Saturday morning for a full day of work, alongside the Forest Service. Car camping options are nearby for those coming from out of town.  Sunday– return for another day, head home in the afternoon.

Estimated Drive Time from Closest Town: 20 minutes from Pocatello  

Difficulty Rating  

Hike: 2/5 Moderate
A short and easy hike with a little uphill climbing at the beginning. Carrying tools and day packs. 

Project Work: 3/5 Moderately Strenuous
Trail rerouting can mean a lot of digging and swinging tools but has different phases that could accommodate most comfort levels.
