Project Name: CLEM South 

Dates: May 9-11 

Join us for our 2025 CLEM – Crew Leader Education and Mentoring. The weekend will consist of classroom sessions and hands-on crosscut and trail work. Over two days of training, we’ll cover safety, leadership, and trail maintenance skills. Experienced and future crew leaders will review lessons learned on past projects and help plan for success on the 2025 projects.  

We will be camping at Poverty Flat Campground, on the South Fork Salmon Road.

Itinerary: Travel to camp Friday afternoon/evening. Early start Saturday and Sunday with lessons, discussion, crosscut certification, and trail work practice. Head home Sunday afternoon.

Difficulty Rating 

Hike: 3/5 Moderately Strenuous Sort hikes for crosscut work, scrambling over down logs. Up Blackmare Creek Trail or others nearby for trailwork. 

Project Work: 3/5 Moderately Strenuous Using your brain! Waking up those crosscut and chopping muscles. You can expect a wide range of weather conditions in May; please pack accordingly.
