Want to break free from crowded campgrounds and carry everything you need to survive in the backcountry? This three-hour presentation about backpacking is for you! Whether you are an experienced backpacker or just starting out, this presentation is packed with knowledge for all backpacking levels.  Join us at ITA Board Member and Crew Leader Tom Dabrowski’s shop in Sagle to learn the basics of backpacking and get hands-on experience with the needed gear. Participants will learn the general differences in backpacks, what to carry for an overnight up to a week-long trip, how to pack your backpack, tips for making your load lighter, and how to stay safe in the backcountry. Sign up is required. Refreshments will be provided. We are also offering two online backpacking webinars this April. Check out our Backpacking 101- Part 1 and Backpacking 101- Part 2.

Tom is an experienced mountain climber and backpacker as well as an ITA Board Member and Crew Leader.
