This project is replacing a bridge on the Duck Lake Trail about ½ mile up from Duck Lake Trailhead. The materials will need to be carried up to the project site and installed. This will be about 60 -4-foot-long boards, 3-20 foot stringers, nails, hammers, and tools. This popular trail near McCall offers some amazing views. After the project, hike up the trail only 1 more mile to Duck Lake!
Difficulty Rating: 2 – Moderate: Day trip trail work is performed a short distance from a trailhead. Volunteers will carry a daypack and tools.
More Information: John Platt’s Blog
Estimated Drive Time to Meeting Spot: Plan on taking at least an hour from McCall for the approximately 28-mile drive.
Road Considerations: Lick Creek Road is rough but passable. It has washboards and rocky sections. But with care, pretty much any car can make it.
