Nez Perce Peak

Volunteer Trail Work Project

Loading Events

Right on the border of Montana and Idaho, ITA volunteers will work their way up to Nez Perce Peak (7536ft). We will car camp together just below the pass, taking in the panoramic views of the Selway Bitterroot Wilderness and the Frank Church River of No Return Wilderness. The trailhead is at Nez Perce Pass and the project starts on the north side and continues up the ridge to the top of Nez Perce Peak. The peak is about 5.5 miles from camp and the trail needs logging out, brushing, and drainage work.

Difficulty Rating: 2 – Moderate: Day trip trail work is performed a small to medium distance from a trailhead. Volunteers will carry a daypack and tools.

Estimated Drive Time to Meeting Spot: 1 hour from Conner Montana

Road Considerations: Access via the historic Magruder Road.

Volunteer Spots Available: 2 of 13
