DESCRIPTION:Project Name:  Beehive Lakes  \nProject Dates: June 13  \nJoin us at the popular Beehive Lakes Trail in the Kaniksu National Forest\, a scenic hiking route near Bonners Ferry known for its forested trails\, granite outcroppings\, and stunning alpine lake views. This one-day project will focus on installing water bars and other erosion-control features to help prevent flooding and reduce trail erosion\, especially on steep sections where runoff can wash out tread and make the route difficult to navigate.  \nNo prior trail work experience is necessary — volunteers of all skill levels are welcome\, and all tools and instruction will be provided. This is a great opportunity to get outside\, give back to one of northern Idaho's favorite backcountry trails\, and help ensure that Beehive Lakes remains safe\, enjoyable\, and sustainable for hikers\, backpackers\, and outdoor enthusiasts alike.  \nProject information is subject to change. Crew leaders will communicate via email. The trail is seven miles round trip with 2\,000 feet of elevation gain.
