DESCRIPTION:Project Name:  Magee Cabin  \nProject Dates:  September 11-13  \nJoin us for a weekend of trail stewardship in the Coeur d'Alene Ranger District\, where we'll be based at Magee Cabin in a serene forest setting. Due to construction on the cabin taking place\, we will be using the space outside the cabin for outdoor camping\, volunteers can enjoy a comfortable basecamp surrounded by towering trees and peaceful woodland.  There is a bathroom with a flush toilet and sinks that will be available for volunteers to use.  \nFrom Magee Cabin\, we'll split our efforts between Halsey Creek Trail and Little Elk Trail\, tackling tasks such as clearing brush\, removing fallen logs\, and improving trail tread to keep the trails safe and accessible. These trails wind through beautiful\, forested terrain\, providing important access to the surrounding backcountry for hikers and outdoor enthusiasts.  \nThis project is a great opportunity for volunteers of all experience levels to gain hands-on trail maintenance skills\, work as part of a team\, and make a meaningful impact on the trails and environment. Whether you're new to trail work or a seasoned volunteer\, you'll leave with a sense of accomplishment\, new skills\, and connections with fellow trail stewards.  \nProject information is subject to change. Crew leaders will communicate via email. By charging a refundable fee\, volunteers are less likely to cancel their reservation. Refunds will not be given to volunteers that do not show up or cancel their reservation. Exceptions will be made for medical reasons or unforeseen circumstances. Volunteers can choose to donate the deposit to ITA. All donations are tax-deductible and will go towards maintaining trails throughout Idaho.
