SUMMARY:2026 Perjue Canyon
DESCRIPTION:Project Name:  Perjue Canyon  \nProject Dates:   June 6  \nPerjue Canyon is a gem of the beautiful Owyhee Canyonlands and ITA has been working on the Perjue Canyon Trail\, one of the few trails that access the Little Jacks Wilderness\, for the last several years!  \nThroughout the year\, this trail becomes thickly overgrown with sagebrush\, cottonwood\, willow\, wild rose\, and many plants and grasses. From the upper trailhead\, the trail enters the canyon near the Purjue Homestead and navigates several miles along Shoofly Creek. We will work to brush and improve tread as far as we can.   \nThis project is on National Trails Day! Held on the first Saturday in June\, this is a day dedicated to advocacy and trail service through public events. Volunteers from across the country unite to work on trail projects and give back to their local communities\, committed to improving trails for others.
