Mark your calendars, it’s party time!
Are you a current ITA member or have volunteered with us in the past? We are having two parties to celebrate YOU! Haven’t volunteered with ITA before? No problem.
New recruits are welcome as well. Signup to attend one of our volunteer appreciation parties: https://idahotrailsassociation.org/volunteerparty/

Volunteer Appreciation Party – North Idaho
2-7 pm, The Dabrowski Farm – 877 Heath Lake Road, Sagle
Well, not on a REAL bear. At this year’s Volunteer Party in northern Idaho, we’ll have a renowned grizzly bear expert and his stuffed bear train us on how to respond to bear encounters and how to best use bear spray.
We’re going to have special presentations and demonstrations on bear safety and bear spray, first aid and rescue, new hiking and backpacking gear, and a talk about the projects planned for 2019. We’ll also have a show on some of the best hikes and backpacks in the western USA. Of course, the cross cut saws will be set up so everyone can practice their saw skills.
After the talks and demos, we’ll have dinner for everyone who signs up. Free for all the folks who volunteered on a project last year. Come on out to the farm on May 4 to see old friends, make some new ones, look at fantastic scenery, and learn about how you can help save Idaho’s beautiful hiking trails.

Volunteer Appreciation Party – Southwest Idaho
4-8 pm, 34th Street Market – 303 E. 34th Street, Garden City
We’re trying out a new venue at the 34th Street Market in Garden City.
Come and join us for food and fun next to the Boise River. We are still working out the details and will update this post as we bring it all together. Idaho Mountain Search and Rescue will be presenting on backcountry research. We will also give a debrief on last year’s accomplishments and a review of all the exciting projects and new things going on this year.
Come and see old friends and meet new ones! You don’t need to have participated in a work party in the past, just come and enjoy the camaraderie!

Thank you! Really appreciate all the hard work you do and coordinating volunteers.
I’ll drop by early for an hour or so. Have another commitment for later that evening.
Looking forward to working with you in August for the weekend project with CSHQA volunteers on the Little Wood Project.
Looking forward to this event but won’t be staying for dinner. I am interested in hearing all about next years projects, is there a suggested time during your four hour event ?
