Grizzly Confidential Webinar: Face-to-Face with North America’s Brown Bears

Join Idaho Trails Association on November 25th at 7pm for a webinar with author Kevin Grange! When grizzlies began appearing on the trails around his town of Jackson Hole, Grange realized he felt conflicted about having bears on the landscape and was forced to confront his fear of Ursus arctos. So he traveled around the American West and Alaska to learn everything he could about brown bears; see if he could understand them, and answer the important question: how can we coexist? In this entertaining and informative webinar, Grange will talk about his journey, his new book Grizzly Confidential, and present a multimedia presentation covering such topics as the history of human-bear conflict in the Lower 48; the best practices for living and recreating in bear country; how hibernation physiology might hold the key to solving the human afflictions of diabetes, heart disease, and strokes; and the goofy, charismatic personalities that appear when grizzlies aren’t food stressed. Ultimately, Grange realized he was “a bear person” and is now a champion of respect for grizzlies and their place in the ecosystem and he looks forward to sharing this passion with you on November 25th!

Sign up for the webinar and you’ll be entered to win one of five copies of Grange’s new audio book!
