Project Name: Moose Lake
Project Dates: June 20
In the Cabinet Mountains, we will work from the Moose Lake Trailhead up towards Moose Mountain (elevation 6,473). This trail has been severely overgrown the last few years, and we will continue our progress removing trees and brushing so the trail is clear and visible for hikers. This year, we will partner with Hikerbabes to continue this annual project.
ITA has been working on this loop in the Idaho Panhandle National Forest for several years now, including one day later this season toward Blacktail Lake. When clear, this trail makes a great day hike loop or easy overnight backpacking trip, complete with mountain lakes.
Project information is subject to change. Crew leaders will communicate via email. Failure to respond to your crew leader may result in being dropped from the project. See our FAQs, reach out to your crew leader, or contact ITA staff at trails@idahotrailsassociation.org if you have questions.
