Project Name: Fernan Lake
Project Date: September 24th
Join Idaho Trails Association, Coeur d’Alene City Parks, and United Way of North Idaho for a special Day of Action community service project at Fernan Lake Natural Area.
Volunteers will help build a new section of trail that will connect existing trails and create a more complete loop within the Fernan Lake trail system. This new trail segment will improve access, enhance the visitor experience, and support the long-term vision for the natural area, where additional trail development is planned to expand the network for hikers and outdoor enthusiasts.
Participants will work alongside experienced trail crew leaders to construct sustainable trail tread, remove vegetation, shape the trail corridor, and complete other trail-building tasks. No previous trail-building experience is necessary—training, tools, and safety instruction will be provided.
This project is part of United Way of North Idaho’s Day of Action, a community-wide effort that brings together volunteers to complete meaningful projects that strengthen and improve our region.
Come celebrate the power of volunteerism, connect with fellow community members, and help create a lasting recreational resource for Coeur d’Alene residents and visitors.
