2024 Foothills Wildfire Replanting

Loading Events

Join ITA in partnership with Idaho Fish and Game for a replanting project in the Boise Foothills to help restore areas burned by the 2024 Paddock and Valley wildfires! Your assistance will help recreate wildlife habitat on both fires, with the Paddock Fire area home to over 4,000 wintering mule deer, and the Valley Fire area home to a portion of the 6,000-8,000 deer that winter over the entire Boise River Wildlife Management Area. The group will focus on planting and seeding sagebrush and grasses in the vicinity of trails before the ground freezes to help with potential erosion problems. All tools will be provided. The group will meet at the Boise WMA Archery Range.
