Volunteer Trail Work Project

2024 West Fork Buckhorn

Loading Events

This summer ITA will be working in the Payette National Forest to help clear and maintain some non-motorized trails along the South Fork Salmon Road. We’ll meet just up the road from the trailhead at Buckhorn Bar Campground, where we’ll set up camp for the weekend. We’ll work up the West Fork Buckhorn and Six Mile Ridge Trails, which climb up to wonderful views of the surrounding mountains. This area has plenty of other hiking and camping opportunities, as well as several hot springs on the way.

This project is being held for folks at the Idaho Division of Public Works, nominated by Barry Miller. Thanks Barry!
