In partnership with the Idaho Department of Parks and Recreation, volunteers will spend a weekend maintaining trails in the Idaho City Yurt System. This area is known for its scenic views and wide variety of recreational activities all year long. We’ll work on clearing logs, brushing, repairing tread, and replacing trail signs. In the evening, volunteers have been invited to stay at the yurt together (each sleeps six) for some glamping and comradery. More info on the yurts at the IDPR Yurt Website.
ITA’s Veterans trail projects provide an environment for active or retired service men and women to participate in mission-focused public land stewardship, learning trail maintenance skills and finding community with other veterans who love the outdoors!
