Project Name: Little Elk Trail (Formally known as Settlers Cedar Grove)
Project Date: July 31 – August 2
Join us for a trail project at Magee Cabin in the Coeur d'Alene Ranger District, a serene, wooded area perfect for a weekend of outdoor stewardship. This summer, ITA volunteers will pick up where a previous crew left off on the Little Elk Trail, tackling blowdown timber and brushing to make this 3.8-mile trail fully passable again after significant storm damage. We'll be based at the Magee Cabin, enjoy the peaceful surroundings, and share camaraderie around meaningful trail work. A previous ITA crew already cleared 1.5 miles and removed 130 logs, come help us finish the job!

Itinerary: This is a three-day project. The crew leader will specify the meeting time and place in their pre-trip emails. Meet Friday morning (welcome to camp starting Thursday!) Return to camp after each workday. Sunday, wrap up by lunch and head home.

Refundable deposit: $25
Why do I need to pay a deposit? We've had trouble with people backing out of trips at the last minute, which can really affect the productivity of the overall project. By charging a refundable fee, volunteers are less likely to cancel their reservations. Refunds will not be given to volunteers that do not show up or cancel their reservation. Exceptions will be made for medical reasons or unforeseen circumstances. Volunteers can choose to donate the deposit to ITA. All donations are tax-deductible and will go towards maintaining trails throughout Idaho. If you require assistance in paying for this fee, please contact us at trails@idahotrailsassociation.org and we will waive the cost.
