June 25th Update – We are changing locations due to snow at the project site. If you are signed up please refer to the latest email from the crew leader for updated information.

High above Lake Pend Oreille, we’ll be working the short section of trail that goes to the summit of Roundtop Mountain (elevation 6,037). Starting from the top of Wellington Creek Road, the Mt. Eagen Trail makes a few switchbacks up to Roundtop Peak, then continues along the ridge for three more miles to Mt. Eagen and beyond. The top of Roundtop Peak provides great views of northern Idaho, northwest Montana, and even British Columbia.

Although this is a one-day project, there are lots of great car camping options for those who would like to spend the night in this beautiful area.

Project information is subject to change. Crew leaders will communicate via email. Failure to respond to your crew leader may result in being dropped from the project. See our FAQs, reach out to your crew leader, or contact ITA staff at trails@idahotrailsassociation.org if you have questions.
