Project Name: Big Bar – Staff and Board
Dates: April 9-13
For this year’s annual staff and board trip, we will be returning to Big Bar Dispersed Camping area on the Snake River south of Hells Canyon Dam. From here we’ll work on the trails that head up into the Payette National Forest to the east. The Allison Creek, Echols Creek, and Kinney Creek Trails offer several loop options for a great day hike from Big Bar. Used by climbers, hunters, and hikers, the thick brush and sections of hard-to-find trail make some sections difficult to navigate. You don’t have to climb up far for some stunning views of Hells Canyon and the Snake River.
Plan for shorter workdays than a normal trip with more time for discussion and idea sharing!
Trails: Allison Creek #514, Echols Creek #223, and Kinney Creek #221
