Project Name: City Creek

Date: June 7

The City Creek Management Area, owned by the City of Pocatello, boasts an expansive trail network that accommodates a diverse range of users, making it a valuable recreational resource for the community. Idaho Trails Association and the City of Pocatello are partnering to work on the main City Creek Trail. This popular trail is becoming trenched and difficult to hike in places. Drainage and erosion problems are also becoming an issue. ITA, with city staff and volunteers to help guide us, will work on addressing water problems on the trail to make it more sustainable and available to the community for years to come!

June 7th is National Trails Day, a day dedicated to advocacy and trail service through public events. Volunteers from across the country unite to work on trail projects and give back to their local communities, committed to improving trails for others. Join us for one of ITA’s many statewide projects to celebrate this day!
