Project Name: Lead Draw Spring
Date: June 14
ITA is partnering with the Caribou-Targhee National Forest on their Lead Draw Recreation Project. Over three one-day projects in 2025, ITA will help enhance the recreational experience for all visitors to the Lead Draw area by installing recreational infrastructure, adding trailhead signage, and rerouting trail.
On this project, ITA will help the Forest begin the reroute and potentially help with trail sign and kiosk installation. In September, we’ll return for two more projects to keep chipping away at the reroute.
The Lead Draw area, located within the Mink Creek watershed, is a popular recreational destination that attracts a significant number of visitors throughout the year. The Lead Draw trailhead gives access to several trails, and users include hikers, motorcyclists, cyclists, e-bike riders, horseback riders, skiers, and snowshoers.
Project information is subject to change. Crew leaders will communicate via email. Failure to respond to your crew leader may result in being dropped from the project. See our FAQs, reach out to your crew leader, or contact ITA staff at trails@idahotrailsassociation.org if you have questions.
