Project Name: Upper Payette Lake

Date: September 27

On National Public Lands Day, volunteers will gather at Upper Payette Lake outside of McCall for a day of trail work. We’ll work up the Deep Creek Trail, brushing and opening up trail junctions. Starting at the lake, the trail climbs up toward the ridge. Deep Creek Trail goes all the way up to Granite Lake, connects to the Cougar Creek trail, and a connector trail back down making a loop.

National Public Lands Day is the country’s largest single-day volunteer event for public lands, taking place every year on the fourth Saturday in September. Since its inception in 1994, NPLD has brought together hundreds of thousands of volunteers to help restore and preserve America’s public lands. Join us for one of ITA’s many statewide projects to celebrate this day!
