Here at ITA we love Idaho’s trails. We also appreciate that there are many types of trail users, and different forms of recreation to enjoy. At times, there has been some conflict between the Motorized and Non-motorized trail users as these groups struggle to fund and maintain trails with limited resources.

We were recently contacted by ExtremeTerrain and asked to participate in their Clean Trails Initiative. ITA received a $250 grant to help fund bridge replacement projects on Center Ridge, and Pearl Creek bridges in the Payette National Forest near McCall. With the additional support from CITRA (Cental Idaho Trail Riders Alliance), these projects illustrate what happens when user groups work together: improved trail conditions for everyone to enjoy!

You can learn more about the ExtremeTerrain Clean Trails Initiative program at their website. Apply for the chance to fund your local trail project with support from the motorized community.
